Christian formation is the Spirit's work of forming us into the person of Jesus Christ. As Christ is formed in us we are empowered to live missional lives characterized by "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control" (Gal 6: 22-23). Christian formation is our destiny as God's image bearers. Our vocation as the people of God is to come to the "unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to maturity, to the measure of the full stature of Christ" (Eph 4:13). Living into the full stature of Christ is a lifelong journey.
