Christian Formation

Christian Formation is a lifelong process of living into our baptismal covenant and promises. This includes, but is not limited to, Christian Education. As children of God, we are called into a relationship with God and the discernment of our ministries.

The Division of Christian Formation/Education of the Diocese of Texas helps implement the Diocesan vision by training Christian educators, networking, providing resources and developing programs in the Diocese of Texas and beyond.

Part of our mission is to provide resources for both the laity and the clergy. On the left of this page you will find a synopsis of our resources and links to more information.

Additionally, we provide extensive information and training geared to help safeguard children. We have training kits that we provide for the churches, and training courses throughout the year. Below you will find more information and links to our programs.

The Peace Village

The hope of the creators of “The Peace Village” is that through mutual appreciation of faith traditions, peace can be achieved. Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism and Native American spiritual practices are represented by individual shrines. Each shrine is defined by a banner, a unique Peace greeting and artifacts from that tradition.

Contact Janie Stevens (jstevens@epicenter.org) for more information or to inquire about using the Peace Village in your church.
