What is CLC?
The Division of Youth’s Christian Leadership Conference is a youth-led event that exists to connect youth through worship, ministry, discipleship, fellowship and evangelism.  The weeklong senior high (grades 9 -12) event focuses on the practical application of faith and includes various workshops along with its social activities.  It is held every summer during the month of June.  The date for CLC 2011 is June 20-25 and will be held at St. Stephen’s Episcopal School in Austin.  The week consists of a themed program; several worship opportunities, various workshops to enhance students’ Christian formation and events of fellowship including a concert, a dance and a talent show.  A design team of high school students with the support of adult design team members plans CLC.  Students from around the diocese are encouraged to participate on the design team and have the opportunity to do so when they register for the conference.  The success of CLC also depends on adult involvement and adults are encouraged to participate in the event as small group leaders for the week.

Scholarship Information
The Division of Youth will provide an $90 scholarship to those in need of financial assistance.  Simply write “scholarship needed” at the bottom of the registration form.  Scholarships cannot be used as the deposit for CLC.

About the Workshops
Workshops are an integral part of the CLC experience.  The workshops allow for a variety of Christian education opportunities as well as practical applications of faith.  Workshop availability is based on the number of people registering for each workshop.  Therefore, some workshops may not be presented. This is why we ask you to make eight selections. 

After your registration form has been received, you will be mailed a confirmation postcard.  You will receive an event packet with more CLC details in late May/early June.
