TEDRD announces 1st Annual Diocesan Emergency Preparedness Month

Get ready. Texas Episcopal Disaster Relief & Development has declared May Diocesan Emergency Preparedness Month.

Emergencies can occur at any time, as the recent earthquakes in Haiti, Chile, Turkey, and other locations worldwide have shown. Every parish and every family should take steps to prepare for the emergencies that may affect them, whether fire, flood, tornado, hurricane, earthquake, tsunami or break-in.

For resources to prepare your congregation and families, check out our blog, twitter, and preparedness webpage.

Volunteer with us!

Intern with us!

We are stronger than ever! Most of the spring and summer are booked up with volunteers, so schedule your trip soon before we run out of space!

If you worked on a home over the past year, check out Facebook to see updated pictures and stories.

To schedule a trip, contact Luke Blount, Volunteer Coordinator, at 713.252.9693.

We are now accepting applications for fall internships! At TEDRD, interns serve as Crew Chiefs, supervising daily rebuild work and volunteers.

Previous experience in construction or working with volunteers is helpful, but not necessary. On-site training will be provided.
