Election of a Bishop Suffragan
Called for the specific purpose of electing a bishop suffragan-- this event will take place on Saturday, June 2, 2012, at Christ Church Cathedral, Houston.
Doors will open at 8:00 a.m. for coffee and kolaches, sign-in and late registration. Everyone attending, whether delegate, clergy or visitor, must register for the event. The $25 cost includes lunch. The online registration deadline was 5 p.m. on May 18. Due to limited space, only delegates who registered before the deadline will be seated together as a delegation. Any elected delegate or clergy who register the day of the event will have seating at the back of the Cathedral, NOT necessarily with their delegation. There will be a closed-circuit feed of the meeting into the Great Hall for others who registered to attend.
Holy Eucharist will begin at 9:00 a.m. and is open to all interested in taking part. The Cathedral will be cleared for the Special Session following worship and only credentialed delegates and members of Council will be allowed entrance for assigned seating. The event will conclude after a Bishop is elected. If needed, it will carry over until 2 p.m. Sunday.
Free parking will be available in the cathedral garage and in the Binz Garage at the NW corner of Texas and Fannin.
