Forming Disciples on the Road
September 8 St. David's, Austin
Plenaries 10am-12pm
Formation
John Newton began working as Bishop Doyle’s Canon for Lifelong Christian Formation in February of 2011. His desire to introduce people to the saving love of Jesus Christ and his call to form uniquely Episcopalian disciples of Jesus is what makes him most passionate about his work. His plenary will be on "why formation matters." Formation is not about being a good person or making God proud of us, but rather about tapping into the abundance of life that Jesus offers and living our lives with purpose, joy and confidence.
