The Iona Center is the term for collective work including the Iona School for Ministry, leadership development including Clericus oversight, The Newcomer Ministry Project, particular conferences and the specific aspects of congregational development listed below.

 

The Personnel of the Iona Center are available to work with congregations in the following areas:

• Identifying and training persons to work with congregations (congregational coaches)
• Deployment of  these congregational coaches to assist churches with the following work: 
  • Congregational assessment of readiness for visioning and planning
  • Core values articulation
  • Mission statement creation
  • Vision discernment and definition
  • Strategic planning based on values, mission and vision
  • Search committee interview skills training 
  • Newcomer ministry (invitation, welcome and connection)
