Camp Allen held their annual Starry Nights event at the Junior League of Houston on October 6. More than 290 people attended the event, raising more than $37,000 for the Camp Allen summer camp scholarship fund.

Camp Allen has cleared an area for construction of the new Lakeside Meeting Center. The new Lakeside Meeting Center will be built next to Lake Coffield, and it will be able to host 60 people with a large screen porch overlooking the lake.
This has been a long lesson in humility and hope. That it is not a story of futility and despair, I give thanks to my family, friends, coworkers and community, who have taken a devastating event and made it inspirational.
On Tuesday at the House of Bishops meeting in Quito, Ecuador, the Rt. Rev. Andy Doyle, Bishop of Texas was elected to a three year term on the board of the College for Bishops along with Honduras Bishop Lloyd Allen and Kansas Bishop Dean Wolf.
The Episcopal Diocese of Texas and individual churches have been collecting donations of goods and money across the state. The communications office has been flooded with emails and newsletters calling for donations, and then reporting the amounts collected.
