St. Luke's Episcopal Health Charities (SLEHC) in Houston is taking significant strides forward in its “research informed grant making.” Established in 1997 by the Diocese of Texas, the agency is focused on evidenced-based interventions in communities that are underserved by medical facilities.

The St. James’ House board of trustees announced May 22 that it had hired an interim executive director to replace Merrilee Hawk, who resigned earlier in May to help care for an ailing parent. Hawk has only been at St. James’ since January 3.
