Grace, Houston, to Host Contemplative Lenten Retreat

All are invited to join Grace Houston for a Lenten Retreat led by Francis Bennett, a former Roman Catholic Trappist monk who continues to explore the various contemplative traditions of life. He will lead attendees in “finding grace at the center” based on the contemplative path. Since leaving the monastic life in 1998 to take care of his father, Brother Francis has worked with the sick and dying in parishes, hospitals, and hospices.

In 2010, he underwent ‘a radical perceptual shift in consciousness,’ which made it clear to him that the pure awareness at the heart of all is no different from the presence of God, which he had been seeking outside himself for so long.” You can learn more about Bennett by checking out his website:

This retreat will begin Friday, March 14, 6-8pm and continue on Saturday, March 15, 9am-3pm. Lunch will be provided. A suggested donation of $20 will go to Br. Francis’ ministry. Grace Episcopal is located at 4040 W. Bellfort, Houston, 77025. All who are interested in attending may register by email to: . You may also call the church office at 713.666.1408.
