Nine EDOT Formation Leaders Advance in their Formation Journey

Nine EDOT formation leaders from San Mateo, Houston, St. Alban’s, Austin, St. Julien’s, Round Rock, St. Thomas, College Station, Palmer Memorial, Houston, Trinity, The Woodlands and St. Dunstan’s, Houston joined nine additional students from across the country at Camp Allen for a week of professional development this month as part of their participation in Forma’s Children and Youth Certificate Program.

They had been studying theology and The Book of Common Prayer online since August to prepare for this week. The one-week intensive covered the Bible, ministry development, pastoral care, discerning and equipping leaders, spirituality, nuts and bolts of ministry and much more. To complete the program, students are mentored by one of the faculty to write a theological assessment and position paper for their ministry context. Upon completion they will receive a certificate from The Episcopal Church and acknowledgment at the Rooted in Jesus Conference in January 2020.
