Violence out of political tribalism must end and its rhetoric is dangerous. The Episcopal Diocese of Texas mourns with the families of all victims of Saturday’s massacre. We pray for the souls of those lost, and offer hope to the citizens of Buffalo, NY. Illogical beliefs that fuel these acts, such as The Replacement Theory, must be denounced at every turn. God calls us to lead – to his teachings – those who subscribe to falsehoods wholly inconsistent with humanity. In Him is love and respect for each other, regardless of skin color or diversity in beliefs. The beginning of the end of such senseless violence begins with each of us.
