In 1982 the Standing Commission of the Episcopal Church
The mandate for a Jubilee Ministry is to be a “ministry of joint discipleship in Christ with poor and oppressed people, wherever they are found, to meet basic human needs and to build a just society.”
The Diocese of Texas has nine Jubilee Centers that provide outreach programs to the people in their communities. These centers have applied successfully to the National Executive Board for the honor of being a
