Domestic abuse can seem overwhelming and impossible to effectively respond to or address. But help is available! The National Domestic Violence Hotline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to listen, provide information, and refer to local domestic violence services all over the country. They can be reached at 1.800.799.SAFE (7233).
Local domestic violence agencies can provide a variety of services – 24-hour crisis lines, emergency shelter, support groups, counseling, case management, community education, batterer intervention programs, and more. They often partner with law enforcement, schools, churches, and a variety of other community organizations to reach survivors and provide services as broadly as possible.
