4Saints & Friends Reaches New Milestone in Service to the Community

Food Distributed in the Last 5 Weeks: 65,250 Pounds

The ministry of 4Saints & Friends Episcopal Food Pantry continues to grow, reaching a significant milestone this month with more than 65,250 pounds of food distributed in just five weeks. This achievement reflects the faithfulness of volunteers, the generosity of donors, and the strength of partnerships that sustain this vital mission.

Teachers from All Saints Episcopal School recently joined the pantry team, dedicating their time to organizing shelves, labeling supplies, and bringing order to storage areas. Their work was carried forward by the faithful Wednesday crew, ensuring that every detail of preparation helps serve clients with dignity and care.

The pantry also welcomed back long-time volunteer and Hall of Fame member Eden Galvan, whose return has brought joy and renewed energy to the community after time away for health reasons.

As the ministry looks to the future, new programs are expanding its reach. In partnership with Texas Health Resources, the Food as Integrated Treatment (F.I.T.) program has launched, focusing on providing foods that align with the American Heart Associationโ€™s DASH diet. This initiative ensures that the pantry not only fills tables but also supports long-term health and well-being.

The community also gives thanks for the life and ministry of beloved volunteer Stan Elliott. His memorial service will be held on Monday, August 25 at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church. Stanโ€™s life of kindness and service continues to inspire all who were blessed to serve alongside him.

Through milestones, new initiatives, and faithful volunteers, 4Saints & Friends remains rooted in Christโ€™s call to serve neighbors with joy, dignity, and love.
