St. Mary’s Episcopal Church of Bellville, Texas, established 1862, is the only Episcopal church in Bellville, located between Sealy and Brenham, about 63 miles from the center of Houston. A small recently restored 1961 Pilcher pipe organ is the primary instrument used at the 10:30am service with occasional use of a just-tuned Kawai grand piano. The church uses The Episcopal Hymnal 1982 for most hymns and occasionally uses Maranatha Music Praise Chorus Book published in 1990 and Songs for Celebration Church Hymnal Series IV published in 1980.
