How to help
(AT THIS TIME)

  • Gift Cards: Gift cards are requested for Wal-Mart, HEB, or gasoline. Mail them to Salvation Army, 855 Hays, Kerrville, TX 78028
  • Physical Donations
    • Unless expressly requested, with delivery address included, please do not send or attempt to deliver items to the affected regions. At this phase of disaster response, physical items are very difficult to manage, sort, store, and distribute.
    • Unless expressly requested, with delivery address included, please do not order and have items sent from organizations such as Amazon.
    • We will update this section as guidelines change.
  • Volunteering
    • Please do not self-deploy! Experienced organizations are assisting at this time. Soon requests for additional volunteers will come. We will endeavor to post those opportunities as quickly as possible.
    • Important: Disaster recovery is a marathon, not a sprint. Volunteers will be needed for several years, and opportunities to serve will be plentiful.
    • See SIGN UP TO SERVE in the section above.
  • Financial Donations: Funds allow disaster responders to purchase what is needed in real time. Physical donations are very difficult to manage at this early stage. In addition, it remains vital to keep the area free of vehicles so the roadways may be kept clear for essential traffic.
