The fund supports congregations undertaking racial reconciliation projects, including research into local histories of slavery and racism, educational programs such as Sacred Ground or One Human Race, public memorials, and community racial justice initiatives.

Henrietta Wells Scholarship: Apply by November 13
The Henrietta Wells Scholarship supports eligible undergraduate and graduate students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities who have connections to the Diocese of Texas and are affiliated with an Episcopal church, Canterbury, school, or ministry.
Applicants must meet academic and affiliation requirements and provide a sponsor letter, a personal essay, and documentation of admission or enrollment, as applicable. Applications close . Late applications will not be considered.

Thomas Cain Fund: Support for Historic Black Churches
The Rev. Thomas Cain Fund provides grants supporting the mission, programming, and maintenance of historic Black churches. Congregations interested in this opportunity are encouraged to visit the fund’s webpage for information and application updates.
