Brotherhood of St. Andrew

The Brotherhood of St. Andrew is a ministry “for the spread of Christ’s Kingdom among men and youth in the Episcopal and Anglican Communion”.

Members follow a rule of prayer, study and service and strive to model responsible evangelistic behavior. First founded in 1883 by a small group of young Episcopalians at a downtown Chicago church, there are currently 25 chapters in the Diocese of Texas.

Annual Meeting
Men gather to share ideas and have fellowship among those who work to spread God’s word. Part of the retreat is devoted to the business of the Assembly. The meeting serves to:

  • learn what is going on
  • elect the officers
  • decide on the next years’ efforts.

Annual Fall Retreat
The Diocesan Brotherhood Assembly gathers high-risk youth at Camp Allen for a weekend of fun, food and challenge conducted in prayer, study and witness. This is a weekend where members of the Diocesan Brotherhood Chapters come together in a common effort to promote the understanding and importance of having Jesus Christ at the center of one’s life.
