FIND Expands to Include In-Person, Virtual School Choices

Like most churches and ministries, when the pandemic of 2020 caused the closure of in-person gatherings, FIND – School for Spiritual Direction and Formation quickly maneuvered the virtual world and began offering classes via Zoom.

That plan led not only to the school continuing to teach the art of holy listening, as it is often called, but to the realization that the ministry might now be offered to a wider community via online classes. Yet, for many, an in-person experience is preferred.

Thus, FIND – School for Spiritual Direction and Formation is beginning its 24th year by offering two versions of the school: the traditional in-person class and a second, parallel school virtually on Zoom. Applicants will choose which of the separate schools to attend.

The in-person classes meet at St. Andrew’s, Bryan, typically on the third Saturday of the month September-May with a year-end retreat. The new virtual school, which will hold classes via Zoom, will follow the same schedule except classes typically will be on the first Saturday. Both versions of the school meet 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Applications for FIND – School for Spiritual Direction and Formation are being accepted through June 30 at www.schoolforspiritualdirection.org, and more information can be found there.
