San Esteban Episcopal Church in Cleveland expressed its deep gratitude to the Rev. Ted Smith for his faithful service and commitment to the community.
Six years before the church’s founding, Fr. Ted envisioned a new congregation in the Cleveland area. After sharing his vision with the Diocese and a period of prayer and discernment, the ministry began under the leadership of Pastor William Llana.
At the 2023 Diocesan Council, the congregation was officially received as San Esteban Episcopal Church. Today, the church has approximately 100 members and looks forward to building its own sanctuary. San Esteban remains closely connected to the surrounding community and actively participates in local events.
“Somos una familia en Cristo” (“We are one family in Christ”), beautifully reflects its spirit. Members often speak of how good God has been to their congregation and express heartfelt appreciation for Fr. Ted’s ongoing support and encouragement.
