Diocese of Texas Welcomes the Rev. Dr. Kristine Blaess as Missioner for Congregations

The Episcopal Diocese of Texas is pleased to announce that the Rev. Dr. Kristine Blaess will join the diocesan staff as Missioner for Congregations on December 1. She will serve on the Congregational and Mission Vitality team under the leadership of the Rev. Canon Perry Mullins.

The Rev. Dr. Kristine Blaess brings 25 years of experience helping congregations grow in vitality as disciples of Jesus. Most recently, she served seven years as rector of St. Paulโ€™s in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, where the congregation became a teaching parish and purchased a neighborhood grocery store serving its downtown neighbors. She holds a Doctor of Ministry in Leadership.

In her new role, the Rev. Dr. Kristine Blaess will support clergy and lay leaders, accompany congregations through conflict, and develop a network of experienced leaders to resource parishes. She looks forward to helping each congregation flourish in the Good News of Jesus Christ in its own community.

Please join us in welcoming Kristine to the Diocese of Texas!
