Tamara Norris, CPA has joined the Episcopal Diocese of Texas as Controller. Ms. Norris was previously with Baylor College of Medicine as Director of Accounting and Financial Reporting. There Ms. Norris had responsibility for external reporting including public bond filings, audited financial statements, and regulatory agency reports. She prepared materials for the Audit Committee and Board of Directors.

Previously, she had been an accounting manager for The Siegfried Group, LLP, among her clients were Sysco where she supervised a team contributing to management’s Financial Transformation initiative. She also held positions with Lyondell Chemical Company as a Financial Reporting Accountant and an Internal Auditor. She began her career with Deloitte in Assurance and Advisory Services. Ms. Norris is a Certified Public Accountant. She is a graduate of Texas A&M University, College Station, TX where she earned a Master of Science, Accounting and a Bachelor of Business Administration, Accounting.
