Rev. Agook Kuol Honored with Delta Epsilon Chi Recognition

The Rev. Agook Kuol has been named an honorary member of the Delta Epsilon Chi Honor Society, a distinction awarded by the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE) upon exceptional alumni.

This recognition places Rev. Kuol among a select group of leaders whose ministries and lives embody ABHE’s mission: Advancing Biblical Higher Education for Kingdom Impact.

In his letter announcing the award, Dr. Joseph Parle, Provost and Dean at the College of Biblical Studies, noted that Rev. Kuol was selected for his remarkable achievements, leadership ability, and strong Christian character. The honor was celebrated publicly on Saturday, August 9, at Houston First Baptist Church.

Earlier this year, Presiding Bishop Sean Rowe appointed Rev. Kuol, from the Diocese of Texas, to serve on the Task Force on the South Sudanese-American Anglican Diaspora. This appointment reflects his deep commitment to building connections across cultures and his faithful leadership within the wider Church.

The Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE) represents a network of 160 institutions across the United States and Canada, enrolling nearly 73,000 students in undergraduate and graduate programs. The association is dedicated to academically rigorous, biblically grounded education that prepares students to serve God in both church and secular settings.

The Episcopal Diocese of Texas celebrates this achievement and gives thanks for the many ways God continues to work through Rev. Kuol’s ministry and witness.
