At the Triennial Meeting of the Association of Episcopal Deacons held in San Antonio earlier this June, Tamara Clothier was awarded the prestigious 2025 Stephen Award for Province VII. This award recognizes outstanding service in diaconal ministry, and Tamara’s impact is truly remarkable.
She was honored for her leadership with Feed My Sheep, addressing food insecurity, and her faithful support of Tuesday Solace, a ministry for families affected by Alzheimer’s. As Fieldwork Supervisor at the Iona School for Ministry, she helps form future deacons for service in both church and community. Her commitment extends to civic engagement through voter outreach and fostering connection among deacons by helping organize the annual diocesan deacon retreat.
Tamara’s dedication to servant leadership exemplifies the spirit of the diaconate, and we celebrate this well-deserved recognition.
