Compass Rose Society Hosts Annual General Meeting Online as Bishop Doyle Completes his Tenure as President

The Compass Rose Society is a group of international Anglicans/Episcopalians who seek to support the ministry of the Archbishop of Canterbury within our Anglican Communion. It connects Dioceses around the world, both providing financial support and sharing news in our global communion. Bishop Doyle has served as President of the Compass Rose Society since 2014, and the 2020 Annual General Meeting marks the conclusion of his tenure.

St. Mark’s celebrates Cameron Dezen Hammon, the communications turns 5 p.m. music director for the church, for winning the 2019 Discovery Prize in Nonfiction from the Writers’ League of Texas. Her debut memoir, This is My Body: A Memoir of Religious and Romantic Obsession, the awarded book, was published in October of last year and is celebrated for its fresh voice and inventive story.

Episcopal parishes St. Timothy’s, Lake Jackson; Holy Comforter, Angleton; St. Paul’s, Freeport, have combined efforts to include a food drive benefitting The Food Basket in their annual Blessing of the Animals (St. Francis Day) tradition. Due to COVID-19, this event will be held as a drive-thru.
