We are delighted to announce the promotion of Haley Townsend Trujillohas to Manager of Safeguarding Certification starting August 10, 2026, within the Wellness and Care Ministries / Safeguarding team.
Haley joined the Diocese of Texas in May 2019 as Executive Assistant to Bishop Ryan, where she supported programs serving people across the diocese throughout their formation and ministry journey. Her problem-solving, collaboration, and project management skills honed through her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from the School of Architecture and her early career in architectural design have made her a valued member of our team.
In her new role, Haley will provide end-to-end ownership of the Safeguarding Records System (SRS), lead training and credentialing for Safeguarding staff and trainers, oversee the background screening process, and supervise a team of two. She will also serve as a key liaison with diocesan staff, congregations, and schools on safeguarding policies and compliance.
