The Living Church, a publication covering the Episcopal Church and the wider Anglican Communion, highlighted four decades of connection through Bishops Executive Secretaries Together (BEST). This milestone celebrates the friendships, shared wisdom, and prayer that sustain those who serve alongside our bishops and strengthen the life of our Church.
Celebrating 175 years of mission in Christ, we are a diverse community of believers following the Episcopal tradition across our 81-county diocese spanning nearly 70,000 square miles in the central, eastern, and northern regions of Texas. Founded in 1838, we are more than 450 active clergy-strong with 175 congregations, over 100 missional communities, 20 campus missions, chaplaincies, foundations, institutions, and over 72,000 congregations.
