St. Mark’s Presents Thousands in Outreach Grants to Southeast Texas Non-Profits

Southeast Texas non-profit organizations received $44,500 in community outreach grants from St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Downtown Beaumont. The grants were presented to representatives from each organization at a special ceremony today at the downtown church. The grants are given annually from the proceeds generated by St. Mark’s Chili Supper and Bazaar and their resale store, the Treasure House. In the last ten years, St. Mark’s has been able to give a total of $443,700 in grants.

Harris County Communications Expert Named New Diocesan Director of Communications

Tammy Lanier has been named the new Director of Communications for the Episcopal Diocese of Texas, the Diocese announced Tuesday. Lanier who will begin June 3, 2019, succeeds Carol E. Barnwell who led the Department of Communications for over 25 years. Lanier most recently served as Director of Communications for Harris County Department of Education.
