At the Triennial Meeting of the Association of Episcopal Deacons held in San Antonio earlier this June, Tamara Clothier was awarded the prestigious 2025 Stephen Award for Province VII. This award recognizes outstanding service in diaconal ministry, and Tamara’s impact is truly remarkable. She was honored for her leadership with Feed My Sheep, addressing food insecurity, and her faithful support of Tuesday Solace, a ministry for families affected by Alzheimer’s. St. Mary’s, Hillsboro Celebrates First Service at New Location

On June 22, 2025, St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Hillsboro joyfully held its first service at its new home: 1323 Park Drive, Hillsboro, TX. Bishop Andy Doyle joined the celebration, calling it “a brilliant day!” and sending his love and blessings to the congregation. St. Mary’s is grateful for the continued prayers and support as it grows into this exciting new space of worship and community.

Last Saturday, June 28, at Christ Church Cathedral, the Episcopal Diocese of Texas celebrated the ordination of 15 new deacons. Surrounded by a vibrant community, heartfelt prayer, and joyful witness, these dedicated servants now begin their ministry in our diocese.
